Help is coming to some towns and cities along the Connecticut shoreline to prevent major damage from future storms.

The Federal Government is sending $11,000,000 to Connecticut as part of the Disaster Relief Bill. That bill was passed after Superstorm Sandy. The funds will help with flood mitigation projects. The goal is to prevent a repeat of Sandy’s destruction in future storms.

Here is a breakdown of where those funds will be dispersed:

  • Milford: $2.5 million
  • West Haven: $2.1 million
  • East Haven: $1.2 million
  • Stratford: $310,000
